The Overwhelm of Katrina

Too many stories. (I am gorging on pain and sadness and sludge and shame. But I can’t stop.) Way too many stories. I bring your attention to two:

The story of two paramedics who’d been in town for a convention. Weep with vexation. Weep with rage.

Here is the story of Badgerbag (met at BlogHer), who went back to homestate Texas and is now volunteering at the Astrodome. She’s blogging her experiences. (Read the first post then keep clicking the »next entry» ) Entries typed at a dead run. Entries bubbling with heart and joy (and fatigue). So good to know that someone I know is there and is doing good. profoundly doing good (doing profound good?). I smile and weep with relief.
