Bruised Ego-surfing

I hearby coin a new phrase in the blogosphere echo-chamber wonderful world of weblogs.

Bruised Ego-Surfing: What happens when one tries to find out if there are any new links to one’s website when one goes to Technorati, but after searching for one’s own site, receiving the following message: ERROR: The requested URL could not be retrieved

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.technorati.com/search/www.2020hindsight.org/

The following error was encountered:

But will the term catch on? Doubt it. I’ll keep a watch for it, tho.

Your old site is still there:

A note to the webmaster would be in order, I believe.

It’s probably just a technorati hiccup. I’ve had it happen several times, but it usually shows all the links if you retry a little later.

Noticed this little quirt at Technorati, too…eventually I got the list of who’s linking (and my rank of 97,540) but it still doesn’t list all the blogs that have ref’d me …not that there are all that many, but it’s fun to see that I’m somewhere over in Germany, and in german)
