Votes to dispand Vote-counting media consortium VNS disbanded. Voter News Service, that entity ownbed by 6 major news organizations which counts the votes, disbands. Here's a May 2000 interview with the head of VNS.

prescription: fiction battling something respiratory. Pushing Liquids, fiction and sleep. I read Sandra Gulland's The Many Lives and Sorrows of Josephine B. (who eventually marries Napolean Bonaparte). It's told in diary form. Gripping. I'm catching up on all my French Revolution history through this. The book I read is the first of a trilogy; I need to get my hands on book 2.
