Wheee! Monsters Inc is out! (favorite overheard statement near head of ticket line: "I'd like two tickets for monsters.com." My friend who's into branding and marketing will like that one.) The film is good. And fun. See it. It rewards the observant with some old inside jokes (like the ball that goes to either Tin Toy or the Pixar short of the unicycle). And oh, the art of 3D materials and fur and all that has been coming along so nicely. There's a fun animated short, too.
and oh the previews. For Ice Age, for Harry Potter (just two weeks!!!), for Lord of the Rings (a month and two weeks!), and for Star Wars, Episode II.
Well, it looks as tho we got good escapist entertainment lining up nicely.
Plus, there's that French movie, Amélie, that's made by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the same guy that made "The City of the Lost Children."
